Соколов Олег Аркадьевич - художник, поэт, зачинатель одесского авангарда, опередивший знаменитую "оттепель" тем, что начал экспериментировать в плане визуализации музыки, поэзии, философии, математики еще в 50-е годы XX века.

1919, 15 июня - родился в г.Одессе
1935-1939 - учился в Одесском художественном училище
1940-1946 - служил в Красной Армии
1941 - участвовал в боях Великой Отечественной войны, тяжелое ранение
1947-1948 - учился во Львовском институте декоративно-прик. искусства
1948-1951 - учился в Одесском художественном Училище и работал художником на Одесском автосборочном заводе.
1948-1951 - художник в Одесском товариществе художников
С 1955 года и до смерти 1990 работал в Одесском Музее Западного и Восточного Искусства сначала научным сотрудником, а затем зав. экспозицией. участник областных, республиканских, всесоюзных и зарубежных выставок.

Sokolov Oleg Arkadyevitch - Artist, poet, one of the pioneers of the Odessa 2nd avant-guarde, started to experiment with the visualisation of music poetry, philosophy and mathematics in the 1950's of the 20th century, well before the so called Khrushchev's "Thaw".

1919 - born in Odessa
1935-1939 - studied at the Odessa Art College
1940-1946 - served in the Army
1941 - fought in the Second World War, badly wounded
1947-1948 studied at the Lvov Institute of Decorative Arts
1948-1951 - artist in the Odessa association of artists
Took active part in the non-conformist art movement in Odessa during 1970's participated in the private "apartment" exhibition
From 1955 until 1990 worked at the Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art, first as a science associate and then later as a manager of the exposition of the museum. Participated in the region, republican all-union and international exhibitions.
